Sale price $89.90 Regular price$100.70

All Infinity Tools CNC Router Bits are engineered to meet the cutting challenge presented by man-made materials such as plywood, MDF, plastics and melamine. We use only the most premium sub-micron grade of C4 carbide and we grind each bit to a remarkable finish in state-of-the-art 5-axis computer controlled machines.

Our Straight and Upcut Spiral O-Flute bits are specifically designed for cutting soft and hard plastics where they produce an exceptional finish. If you look down from the top of the bit you'll see the "O" design that we grind into the flute of the solid carbide round. This unique geometry allows the router bit to clear chips efficiently and dissipate heat quickly by creating the optimal 'chip'.

Choose the Upcut Spiral O-Flute router bit for faster feed rates where material finish on top of the workpiece is not a primary concern. Choose the Straight O-Flute where finish on top and bottom is more important than feed rate and speed.

Both O-FLute router bit styles are ideally suited for all types of plastics, they also produce an excellent finish in soft metals, laminates, hardwood, softwood, plywood, MDF and particleboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What shank size do these CNC bits have?

All three bits in the set have a 1/4" shank, fitting most CNC routers and compact routers that accept a 1/4" collet.

How many bits come in the set?

This is a 3-piece set of O-flute CNC router bits.

What is an O-flute bit best for cutting?

O-flute bits are specifically designed for cutting soft and hard plastics, where they produce an exceptional finish. They also work well in soft metals, laminates, hardwood, softwood, plywood, MDF, and particleboard.

What carbide are these bits made from?

They are made from premium sub-micron grade C4 carbide and ground to a remarkable finish on state-of-the-art 5-axis computer-controlled machines. See the full carbide router bit range.

What is the difference between straight and upcut spiral O-flute bits?

Choose the upcut spiral for faster feed rates when top-surface finish is not critical. Choose the straight O-flute when finish on both the top and bottom of the workpiece matters more than speed.

Why does the O-flute shape matter?

The "O" geometry ground into the flute clears chips efficiently and dissipates heat quickly by creating the optimal 'chip.' This keeps cuts clean and prevents melting in plastics.

Can I use these bits on plywood and MDF?

Yes. These bits are engineered for man-made materials including plywood, MDF, melamine, and particleboard, in addition to plastics and soft metals.

Will these cut soft metals like aluminum?

Yes. Both O-flute styles produce an excellent finish in soft metals as well as laminates and wood-based materials.

Are these bits good for CNC work?

Yes. All Infinity Tools CNC router bits are engineered for the demands of CNC cutting in man-made materials. Pair them with our router bit sets to expand your CNC capabilities.

Who makes these O-flute CNC bits?

They are made by Infinity Cutting Tools, ground in-house on 5-axis machines. Browse more specialty router bits from Infinity Tools.
