Knew Concepts Fret Saws are a striking departure from the traditional brand saw design. Engineered and manufactured right here in the US, they’re made to be lightweight and easy to control. Knew Concepts fret saws are designed to be feature rich, making them faster to set up and easier to handle than any other fret saw you’ve used before. These saws are very stable and allow minimal blade deflection while in use.

Right from initial blade installation you’ll appreciate the convenience of the quick-release camming tension level and fine adjustment screw. This lets you switch from blade to blade without needing to re-tension. Just slide the blade into the receiver and tighten the knob. Then add tension with the lever and you’re ready to cut.

The spring-loaded blade clamps allow for easy 45° rotation in either direction. This makes off-axis cuts a breeze, letting you use either hand! You’ll have unparalleled control and access to even the most demanding of cuts.

These saws accept any standard 5-1/8” plain-ended blades, such as our FSB-001 PEGAS #7 Blade. There is even a blade length gauge built right into the spine of the saw, so that you’ll have an easy reference measurement for what will fit!

Work with more efficiency and confidence without sacrificing the quality of your craftsmanship. Now that’s what we call progress!

Models:

The 101-620 (Mk.V 3CS) and the 101-621 (Mk. V 5CS) are regular-strength models, with standard 1/8” thick anodized aluminum spines. They only differ in their depth of cut. They’re meant for the sort of average use that you’d expect a fret saw to perform.

The 101-622 (Mk.IV-5CS) and the 101-623 (Mk.IV-8CS) have more robust 3/16” thick spines. Additionally, the Mk. IV models allow the blade to rotate through 360° instead of only rotating 45° each direction. These are serious fret saws which are meant for serious business. You’ll really appreciate the thicker spine on the 8” deep model. These IV-series saws will easily keep up with most any task you’d ask them to perform, and then some!
