The Infinity V-Groove Router Bits produces a 90° V profile in the center of a workpiece and also double as a 45° chamfer when used on the edge of your stock. They’re great for adding details to furniture, cabinets, signs, crown molding, chair rail, baseboard or wainscoting. This 1/2" shank bit has a cutting diameter of 3/4". Don’t forget that our V-Groove bits can also be used in the router table or fence guided handheld router to produce a 45° chamfer on the edges of workpieces, and because there is no bottom bearing to get in the way, they can reach into tight corners where other bits can’t.

Frequently Asked Questions

What shank size is this V-groove router bit?

This bit has a 1/2" shank, so it fits routers and router tables that accept a 1/2" collet. Browse more edge-forming router bits.

What angle does this V-groove bit cut?

It cuts a 90° V profile when used in the center of a workpiece. The same 90° cutter produces a 45° chamfer when run along the edge of your stock.

Can I use this bit to make a chamfer?

Yes. Run the V-Groove along the edge of your workpiece and it produces a clean 45° chamfer. It works in a router table or a fence-guided handheld router.

What projects is the V-groove bit good for?

It is great for adding details to furniture, cabinets, signs, crown molding, chair rail, baseboard, and wainscoting. See related molding router bits for trim work.

Is this bit good for sign lettering?

Yes. The 90° V profile is well suited to sign lettering and decorative veins, scoring crisp, symmetrical grooves in the face of the workpiece.

Does this bit have a bearing?

No, there is no bottom bearing. Because the bit has no bearing in the way, it can reach into tight corners where bearing-guided bits cannot.

What are the cutter dimensions?

The cutter measures 1/2" in diameter with a 1/2" cutter height, on a 1/2" shank.

Can I use this bit in a handheld router?

Yes. It can be used in a router table or a fence-guided handheld router to create center V-grooves or edge chamfers.

Who makes this V-groove router bit?

It is made by Infinity Cutting Tools. Explore the full lineup of carbide router bits from Infinity Tools.

How do I get the cleanest V-groove?

For crisp results, make a steady pass at a consistent depth, ideally in a router table where the workpiece is well supported. Larger or deeper grooves may benefit from multiple light passes.
