This aircraft grade aluminum Insert-Pro shaper head comes with 13 uniquely profiled HSS cutting knives, giving you the ability to produce a wide range of decorative and functional profiles with a single cutter head, and comes packed in a form-fitting foam lined case.
Each 40mm tall high speed steel knife is fully interchangeable, allowing for fast and safe profile changes. Using the included Allen key, simply loosen the single retaining bolt, slide out the gib, and swap in a new knife. The built-in alignment posts ensure that each knife seats correctly and automatically adjusts for consistent cutting height and accuracy—no tedious setup or measuring required.
The shaper head itself is precision-machined from solid aluminum and finished with a durable black coating to resist wear and corrosion, ensuring years of reliable performance in both hobbyist and professional shops. The standard 1-1/4" bore fits most larger shapers, and optional reducing bushings (sold separately) allow compatibility with smaller spindle sizes for added versatility.
In terms of size, the Insert-Pro shaper head measures 4 inches in diameter and 1-1/2 inches in height, providing excellent balance and stability during operation. The cutting knives are 40 mm tall (approximately 1-9/16"), are 5/32" thick, and vary in width depending on the specific profile, allowing each knife to deliver optimal cutting performance for its intended shape.
